Who should play in EL Futbol Club?

Accepted Answer

Any player in elementary or middle school who wants to play soccer and is willing to work hard! No prior experience is required, but we will be playing a lot of soccer in so your player should want to be on the field.

What will practices be like?

Accepted Answer

We are not training, we are playing. Each week will be focused on learning a phase of the game and associated soccer skills.Every practice session will involve lots of playing soccer. Every player and team will also practice the same skills and participate in the same activities each week. There will be multiple coaches and players may practice with different players each week.

Question 3

Why are such a wide range of ages practicing at the same time?

Do your kids like to play with older or younger siblings or friends? We're creating an environment where players learn to excel with a variety of skill and ages on the field. Kids mature at all different rates and some second graders will have more ball skills than a fifth grader, and some fifth graders will be smaller than a third grader. Everyone will learn to adapt and challenge themselves.   To ensure everyone is developing their skills but is not overwhelmed, there will be different practice groups each week. Your player will end up playing with and against everyone in their age group. We believe this creates creative and resilient players, and everyone will meet new friends!

What about games?!

To help create a game atmosphere throughout the season, practices will be high intensity with lots of game-like scrimmages. We encourage our players to put forth a game like effort to for maximum learning and fun! We will incorporate games into practices.

Question 5

My kid will never make it big with only one practice a week!

Accepted Answer

That's probably true. If your player is headed for the pros, or a college scholarship, this is not the club for you. However, if your player would still like to do other things, or have dinner at home sometimes, this is definitely the right Club for you!
