About EL Futbol Club

Welcome to EL Futbol Club. We provide a soccer experience that promotes community and emphasizes the beauty of soccer. We believe that soccer development requires a high energy, high expectation environment where every player is empowered to try new things and fall in love with the game. EL Futbol Club is bridge between haphazard "luck of the coach" recreational play and travel leagues. We offer reasonably paid coaches and a simple and predictable schedule that respects family time. Our focus isn't just on building better soccer players, but on nurturing confident, resilient, and reflective young people who will be part of a soccer community for life.

A Note from Coach Emily

Over the past five years I have coached more than 200 kids in Athens, mostly in soccer, but also basketball, and flag football. My experience has led me to conclude that soccer truly is the best sport for young kids. It's fast paced and offers infinite decision making opportunities. The rules are simple and kids with limited natural talent but a desire to kick the ball can quickly become valuable play-makers and see success.

I want to create a place where younger kids start off on the right foot with a love for soccer and older kids who love soccer can keep playing and developing without the money or travel required of the inane US youth soccer structure.

I received a Class D license from the United States Soccer Federation in 2025 and I have a background in youth leadership development.

About Coach Kyle

Kyle has been playing soccer for 17 years and it is his favorite thing to do. He plays striker or winger but is up for playing wherever needed. His favorite team is Manchester United and his favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo. He played in high school and in college.

Kyle is trained as a referee and loves working with kids to inspire their love of soccer. He knows the importance of coaches, a good Coach can make all the difference to one's decision to keep playing. He looks forward to sharing his passion for soccer with all players and increase their knowledge of the game!
